Third Latvian joins TKH Torun

39-year-old Latvian veteran Andrejs Ignatovics has joined Polish club TKH Torun. Latvian forward spent previous season with Brest of French 2nd league.

During his long career Ignatovics has played in seven World Championships for Latvian national team, but his career highlight is the 2001/02 season, which he spent in Djurgarden of Swedish Elitserien.

Andrejs is joining already two Latvians at the club – Toms Bluks and Edgars Adamovics. Between 2007 and 2009 all three of them played together in ASK Ogre.

TKH Torun will soon begin a three team tournament, whose winner will qualify for a spot in Polish league.

Bluks and Adamovics ready for Poland

Two Latvian defencemen Toms Bluks and Edgars Adamovics have signed a contract with Polish club TKH Torun, which will soon begin a three team qualification tournament. One of the teams will qualify for a spot in the Polish league, while the other two will play in the Polish 2nd league.

While Adamovics spent last season with Mont-Blanc of French Ligue Magnus, Bluks played for Sport Club of Hungarian league. Previously for several seasons both players played in ASK Ogre and definitely have a certain chemistry between them.

According to a trustable source, if the team will not manage to qualify for the spot in the Polish league, both players have rights to leave the club.

TKH Torun will play its first qualification game on August 13, when it will face Podhale Nowy Targ.
